Building South Africa's largest event intelligence platform

People often ask how PartyTrends gathers so much data. The answer is simple: relentlessly.

Most people see the reports, rankings, awards and insights. What they don't see are the thousands of hours spent building the systems behind them. Every day starts with one question: what is changing in the events industry right now? Not next year. Not next month. Today.

Because if you can identify a trend before everyone else sees it, you gain an enormous advantage. A large part of my role is building and maintaining the pipelines that collect, clean, validate and enrich information — because raw data is rarely valuable, but reliable data is.

Artificial intelligence plays an important role, but it isn't making the decisions. It helps us process volumes of information that would be impossible to analyse manually. AI helps us find the signal — human expertise determines what that signal means.

“The future belongs to those who see the trend before everyone else.”
